Amani means ‘peace’ in Swahili. The mission of KACH is to keep orphaned and vulnerable children in the community where they grew up, thus preserving a child’s network of support.

KACH Kids Prepare Surprise Cake for SStS 2022 Students

It was a surprise bonfire celebration at KACK as the IPI-KACH Family prepared a farewell cake to honor SSTS visit. The remarkable experience from the visit of the Students Shoulder-to-Shoulder made it hard to say goodbyes.

Patrick Kithinji and his team of bakers prepared a delicious cake for the guests and the whole family to celebrate the moment.

Supporting the Next Generation at Amani Home

Supporting the children in Meru, Kenya

At Amani Home we recognize the humanity of the children who are with us. We honor them instead of dehumanizing them. With so many children without parents due to HIV/AIDS, whole generations of children are at risk of missing our on an education.

At KACH, children attend their local school and maintain close relationships with extended families while housing, food, education funding and training are provided by the Amani Home family.

Community members contribute to aspects of the Amani Home so that local endorsement and sustainability is assured. The home is committed to wise use of environmental resources and is designed to be self-sustaining through a network of cottage industries.

This is just one step in bringing our community closer together, reclaiming, and creating abundance.

Participate in Nurturing Talents of Amani Children

The legendary artist Pablo Picasso, described all children as artists because they like getting busy and whenever they do, the product of their work is always a masterpiece which most of them could not realize and end up discarding and the efforts go to a waste and with little or no recognition. At Amani Children’s Home, we value the talents of each child and we always strive to keep them motivated, recognized and made aware of the power of their ability because it could turn out as their main career in future or a source of income at any level. We encourage them to use locally available materials and learn how to use and reuse items so that we reduce wastes and manage pollution to the environment. However, the materials they use for artworks are inadequate and cannot serve all due to the many different talents they have. We believe that you and me can create positive impact on this veritable gold mine.

Sponsor an Amani Child

Our children are amazing, resilient souls who have overcome much adversity and each has a unique story. For less than $2 a day you can help end poverty and change the life of a child. Knowing that someone loves them and wants them to succeed is so meaningful to them. The children cherish notes of encouragement from their sponsors, hiding them away and re-reading them countless times. You DO make a difference!
